Day 1: Arrival in Irkutsk. Transfer to the hotel “Irkutsk”***. Lunch. City-tour (churches and mineralogical museum of Irkutsk State Technical University). Dinner. On request - theater, Organ hall.
Day 2: Breakfast. Transfer to Sludyanka. On the we’ll make a few stops at picturesque sites. Lunch. Arrival to Sludyanka. Accommodation by Mr Zhigalov - the owner of the local mineralogical museum - hostel, facilities outside. At dinner - question-answer talk with Zhigalov about minerals. Visiting his collection. Banya - on request.
Day 3: Breakfast. Hike to the deposit called “1st mine” which is located in 250m from the hostel. You can find more than 20 kinds of minerals there such as apatite, flogopite, diopsite, pargasite, scapolite, pyrite, quartz, dolomite, calcite, malachite, gialofan, tourmaline, ortite, biotite, Mn, limonite, aragonite. Looking for stones. Picnic-lunch. Looking for stones. Dinner at the hostel.
Day 4: Breakfast. Hike to the “2nd mine ” deposit (2km). Looking for stones (lavrolit, amazonit, spinel). Lunch en route. Dinner and overnight at the hostel.
Day 5: Day at leisure - we visit the archeological exhibition "Baikal Antiques» with walk to Shamansky Cape (symbol of The Southern Baikal).
Day 6: Breakfast. Boarding the boat. Boating to Circum Baikal Railroad to “Belaya Vyemka” Deposit. One can find spinel of different colors and 35 other minerals. The deposit descends to the shoreline of Lake Baikal and you can find these minerals in pebbles. Lunch by the campfire - fish soup made of Baikalian Fish - omul. Boating back to Sludyanka. Dinner at the hostel. Banya - on request.
Day 7: Bus trip to the Tunka National Park - Arshan water resort. En route - ethnographic excursion. Accommodation at "Sagaan-Daly" hotel. Visiting the Buddhist temple - datsan,
mineral springs. Dinner with national folk-show.
Day 8: Breakfast. Visiting the dead volcano. Lunch. Transfer to Irkutsk. Dinner. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9: Breakfast. Bus trip to Lystvyanka (70km). En route - museum of wooden architecture. Museum of Baikal in Listvyanka - the settlement on Baikal shore where Angara River flows out of Baikal. Lunch. Leaving for Irkutsk. Accommodation at the hotel “Irkutsk” ***. Dinner.
The price includes: all the mentioned transfers, accommodation (DBL) in Irkutsk on FB base, accommodation in Sludyanka at hostel (rooms for 3-5 people, facilities outside, FB), Arshan at hotel (DBL - TRPL, FB), and excursions mentioned in this program, guide, all the entrance fees.
