Not far from Gorky park is the New Tretyakov Gallery. This museum houses a great collection of contemporary Russian art. Adjacent to the museum is the wonderful sculpture garden. The sculpture garden has become the new home of quite a few interesting Soviet works that have been moved here since the end of the Soviet Union. The surrounding area has many local artists selling paintings and hand crafts.
